Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh may be a complete mess at launch

Microids will release Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh later today. However, it appears that this new adventure game could be a complete mess at launch. Or at least that’s what its own developers hint at.

Pendulo Studios has issued a statement just a few hours before the game releases, claiming that those who play the game at launch won’t be able to fully enjoy it. Now I don’t know what the game’s issues currently are, but it should run fine on PC. Or at least its graphics are not that great from what I can see in its launch trailer. So, perhaps the game has lots of bugs?

The developers claimed that they aim to fix this situation in a promptly manner. The first major patches for the game will come out in the coming weeks.

The big question now is why Microids did not delay the game. October was a month full of new game releases. So, you’d expect that the publisher would release a polished product in order to win gamers. However, that won’t be the case here. So, what’s the point of releasing it? Why should gamers purchase a game that they already know has issues?

Pendulo Studios didn’t make it clear if these game problems happen on all systems. So, they’re not really helping themselves with that statement. And no, I don’t think this game will be as messed up as Cities Skylines 2. Right? RIGHT?

Anyway, if you were planning to purchase this Tintin game, we suggest avoiding it until you read its reviews. And if you’ve pre-ordered it then you deserve what you’ll be getting. We’ve said it multiple times. Stop pre-ordering games!
